Why Backstage

Because every model and agent has the right to work more quickly and efficiently than before.

1990: "snail mail” otherwise known as paper mail, this together with phone calls were the primary ways of communicating between fellow models and bookers, even in faraway locations. This lack of instant connection was often the cause of confusion and miscommunications, resulting in a lot of wasted time.

2000: The age of emails and fax- Emails became more popular and began to replace the so-called “snail mail” and the fax was used as a mean to send documents over a telephone line. Bookers could reach their models more easily than before, but still this wasn’t enough.

2010: Sales in PCs declined in favour of tablets and smartphones. Smartphones allowed an even stronger communication between models and bookers, thanks to SMS messages and constant internet connection. But still, something was missing, it couldn’t quite meet this need for instant interactivity on-the-go.
